Organizations

An organization is your team workspace in Raison. It is the top-level container for everything — projects, members, and billing.

What an Organization Is

When you sign up for Raison, you create an organization during onboarding. Everything you create — projects, agents, prompts, API keys — lives inside an organization.

Organizations are the billing unit. Your plan, seat count, and usage limits are all attached to the organization.

Creating an Organization

When you first sign in at raison.ist, you are prompted to create an organization. Give it a name that reflects your company or team, then continue to create your first project.

You can create additional organizations from the organization switcher in the dashboard header.

Member Roles

Each member of an organization has one of three roles:

Role What they can do
Owner Full access. Manage billing, invite/remove members, delete the organization. Only one owner per organization.
Admin Manage projects, agents, prompts, and members. Cannot manage billing or delete the organization.
Member View and edit prompts and agents within projects they have access to. Cannot manage members or billing.

Plan Limits

Raison uses seat-based pricing — you pay per team member on paid plans. Limits apply across your organization:

Free Team Team Plus Enterprise
Price $0 $10 / seat / mo $50 / seat / mo Custom
Yearly price $0 $8 / seat / mo $40 / seat / mo Custom
Max seats 3 Up to 100 Up to 100 Unlimited
Agents 3 20 100 Unlimited
Prompts / agent 3 10 50 Unlimited
AI Prompt Builder No access 100 msg / seat / period 1000 msg / seat / period Unlimited

Yearly billing applies a 20% discount on all paid plans. Organizations needing more than 100 seats should contact contact@raison.ist for Enterprise pricing.

How Seat-Based Billing Works

On paid plans, your monthly bill equals your per-seat price multiplied by the number of active members. Raison adjusts your subscription automatically when team members are added or removed:

  • Adding a member — your subscription updates to the next seat count immediately; Polar charges a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period.
  • Removing a member — your subscription updates to a lower seat count immediately; Polar issues a prorated credit toward the next billing period.

See Billing for the full billing management guide.

Switching Organizations

If you are a member of multiple organizations, you can switch between them using the organization switcher in the top-left corner of the dashboard. Each organization has its own projects, billing, and members — switching changes your entire workspace context.
