Billing

Manage your organization's subscription, seat count, and plan from Settings > Billing.

Plans

Raison uses seat-based pricing on paid plans — you pay per active team member. The Free plan is limited to 3 members and is not seat-based.

Yearly billing applies a 20% discount. For teams needing more than 100 seats or custom arrangements, contact contact@raison.ist.

Subscribing

1. Go to Settings > Billing.
2. Select a plan (Team or Team Plus).
3. Choose monthly or yearly billing.
4. A confirmation dialog shows the full cost breakdown before you proceed:
   • Price per seat and billing interval
   • Current member count (this is the initial seat count)
   • Total amount that will be charged
5. Click Confirm to be redirected to the Polar checkout page.
6. Complete payment on Polar. You are redirected back to the dashboard when done.

The seat count at checkout is set to your current number of organization members. If you add members after subscribing, the subscription updates automatically (see Seat Adjustments below).

Changing Plans

You can upgrade or downgrade between Team and Team Plus at any time:

1. Go to Settings > Billing.
2. Click Change Plan on the desired plan card.
3. Confirm the change — the new plan takes effect immediately.
4. Polar prorates the difference: you receive a credit for unused time on your old plan and are charged for the new plan from the change date.

You can also switch between monthly and yearly billing on the same plan.

Seat Adjustments

Raison automatically keeps your subscription's seat count in sync with your active member count. You do not need to manually adjust seats.

When you add a member:

• The subscription immediately updates to the next seat count.
• Polar charges a prorated amount for the additional seat for the remainder of the current billing period.
• Example: You are on Team ($10/seat/mo), you have 4 members, you invite a 5th on day 15 of a 30-day period → you are charged $5 (half a month for one seat).

When you remove a member:

• The subscription immediately updates to a lower seat count.
• Polar issues a prorated credit toward your next billing period.

At renewal:

• Polar charges the fixed price for your current seat count. No action required.

Cancellation

To cancel your subscription:

1. Go to Settings > Billing.
2. Click Cancel Subscription.
3. Confirm the cancellation.

Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your organization reverts to the Free plan limits (3 members, 3 agents, 3 prompts per agent).

Checking AI Prompt Builder Usage

AI Prompt Builder message limits are tracked per user per billing period. To check your current usage:

1. Go to Settings > Billing.
2. Your current AI Prompt Builder message usage is shown in the billing overview: messages used, messages remaining, and the period start date.

Limits reset automatically when your billing period renews. See AI Prompt Builder with BRAID for per-plan message limits.

Enterprise

Enterprise offers unlimited seats, agents, and prompts, plus unlimited AI Prompt Builder messages, priority support, 24/7 support, and self-hosting. Pricing is custom.
